The objectives of the study were: (1) To study the pre camp knowledge, pre camp conditions of ladies and their economic, social and educational background. (2) To study the impact of camp on ladies, its relationship with their economic, social and educational background. (3) To study the camp methods, structure, and syllabus of social workers training camp. (4) To study the type of work could have been done by social workers trained by this camp. (5) To study the effectiveness of camp with reference to education for all.
Sample comprised of 180 ladies from rural area.Tools used in the study were questionnaire and interview schedule.The study was survey type.
Content analysis was also done to know about details of activities done in the camp.The data were analyzed by computing percentages.
The findings of the study were: (1) The impact of camp was evaluated on the basis of reactions of the ladies participated in the camp. Out of these, 71.7% participants of the camp told that they participated for gaining confidence, more information and for learning how to behave in a group. 14.4% ladies participated for knowing about camp and remaining 13.9% said that they participated in camp for becoming financially strong by doing any job or small business. The widows participated in the camp were not satisfied rather expressed anger for not been helped by camp for getting any job or service. The ladies who participated in the camp also received remuneration. This remuneration was used for their daily need by 82.8% ladies, 16.1% ladies used this money for saving purpose and 1.1% reported that they didn’t received any remuneration
